Installation art and objects for mourning and remembrance of victims of disasters
A creative challenge:
To end suffering and poverty
Artists have the courage to raise the uncomfortable questions that are usually
so quickly forgotten in our self-indulgent society. Raising these questions
should be the main target of contemporary art.
Robert Kessler has never evaded these uncomfortable questions, neither in
his own life, nor in dealing with disaster and catastrophes. He raises questions
that directly confront the needs for the suffering individual.
He creates an artistic scenario that offers the suffering individual (and
humanity) the possibility to take symbolic actions. Due to Kessler’s
understanding, these symbolic actions are necessary in order to overcome borderline
situations.
